Our main office and depot is located in the Tees Valley at Grangetown, Middlesbrough. We have 3 on site fork trucks used for loading and unloading steel and palletised products, with a maximum lift capacity of 15 tonnes.
Maintenance to the highest standard is an essential prerequisite in the industry. Our depot at Middlesbrough has a fully equipped workshop complete with two open inspection pits, both with air operated jacks. The workshop is able to accommodate tractor units, flat trailers and 4.6 metre high taughtliners. All units and trailers are serviced regularly on a 24-hour basis by skilled fitting staff.
The maintenance depot is manned around the clock, Monday to Saturday. On site there are brake testing bays that are used to regularly check the brakes on all the vehicles we operate.
Leeds
Our Leeds depot is controlled from the Middlesbrough office and is an operating centre for 5 vehicles and 12 trailers of various types. By and large we distribute steel plate from Leeds to different parts of the UK. The depot is also used as a "staging post/safe place" for other vehicles passing through.
Immingham
The Immingham office and parking facilities are on the DFDS Terminal at Immingham Dock. The depot operates 18 vehicles and circa 40 trailers ranging from flats, extenders and coilers to cabriolets, Euroliners and curtainsiders that cater for an assortment of products/commodities shipped in from Scandinavia and the European mainland. The nature of the business is predominately forest products, such as sawn timber, wood pulp, fluff, newsprint and reels of cardboard used in the packing industry. In addition to that there is long length steel sections, steel coils and palletised goods, such as plastics and packaged plain paper. All of these products are distributed throughout the UK.
